Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Staff Finance professional to join our dynamic accounting team. This entry‑level position is ideal for fresh graduates who have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and are eager to apply their academic knowledge in a fast‑paced corporate environment. The role will be based in either Yogyakarta or Malang, offering the chance to work in two vibrant Indonesian business hubs. The successful candidate will engage with core financial processes, support month‑end close activities, and contribute to the accuracy and compliance of our financial reporting under Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK) and tax regulations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze basic financial statements, including balance sheets, cash flow statements, and profit‑and‑loss reports.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure cash balances are accurately reflected in the accounting system.
- Assist senior accountants with the month‑end and year‑end closing procedures, ensuring all journal entries are posted on time.
- Maintain and update the general ledger, supporting subsidiary ledgers for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed assets.
- Support the preparation of tax filings by gathering required documentation and applying fundamental Indonesian tax principles.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet tools to develop simple financial models, variance analyses, and data visualizations.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—such as procurement, sales, and operations—to verify transaction accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Document and improve internal financial processes, contributing ideas for automation and efficiency gains.
- Adhere to strict deadlines, working independently or within a team to meet weekly and monthly reporting schedules.
- Uphold the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics in handling financial information.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Accounting or a closely related field.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; no prior work experience required.
- Solid understanding of Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK) and basic tax regulations.
- Familiarity with financial statements and the ability to interpret balance sheets, cash flow statements, and profit‑and‑loss accounts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or comparable spreadsheet software; experience with accounting software is a plus.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective interaction with internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated honesty, responsibility, and a proactive work ethic.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team environment, especially under tight deadlines.
- Willingness to be placed in either Yogyakarta or Malang, with a standard work schedule from Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
