Introduction
The Engineer Sistem Kontrol – Pengembangan & Pemeliharaan is a pivotal role within our technology operations team, focused on the design, implementation, and maintenance of electronic data‑logging systems that monitor temperature and humidity across critical environments such as Dry Boxes, IOL CANM stations, and warehouse facilities. This position offers a unique blend of hands‑on hardware interaction, data engineering, and analytical problem‑solving, making it an ideal entry‑level opportunity for students or recent graduates pursuing careers in computer science, data science, or data engineering.
Working Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with senior engineers, quality assurance staff, and production managers to ensure that all environmental data is captured accurately, stored securely, and made readily available for operational decisions and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Design, install, and calibrate electronic sensors for temperature and relative humidity (RH) monitoring.
- Develop and maintain data‑logging scripts and applications that automatically record sensor outputs to a central database.
- Configure and troubleshoot database systems, ensuring data integrity, redundancy, and timely backup procedures.
- Monitor real‑time data streams, generate alerts for out‑of‑range conditions, and support rapid response actions.
- Document system architecture, wiring diagrams, and standard operating procedures for future maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate sensor data into broader enterprise resource planning (ERP) and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on hardware components, replacing sensors or modules as needed.
- Analyze historical data trends to propose process improvements that enhance product quality and reduce waste.
- Provide technical support and training to non‑technical staff on the proper use of data‑logging tools.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen events and root‑cause analysis workshops.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s program (or recent graduate) majoring in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Fundamental understanding of electronic systems, sensor technology, and basic signal processing.
- Hands‑on experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and data‑logging frameworks.
- Strong analytical mindset with keen attention to detail and ability to interpret numerical data accurately.
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language commonly used for data acquisition (e.g., Python, Bash, C/C++).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team.
- Minimum education requirement: SMA/SMK or equivalent; higher education preferred.
