Responsibilities
- Perform precise cutting, trimming, deboning, and portioning of various meat cuts, including beef, pork, and poultry, according to established specifications.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and ensure proper rotation of products using FIFO (first‑in, first‑out) principles.
- Prepare and display meat products attractively for retail sale, adhering to visual merchandising standards.
- Implement and uphold strict food‑safety protocols, including temperature control, sanitation, and proper storage techniques.
- Clean and sanitize workstations, tools, and equipment daily, following HACCP and local health regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff, sales associates, and management to fulfill customer orders promptly and accurately.
- Train and mentor junior staff or apprentices on cutting techniques, safety procedures, and best practices.
- Assist in receiving shipments, inspecting deliveries for quality, and documenting any discrepancies.
- Contribute ideas for new product offerings, special cuts, or promotional displays to increase sales.
- Maintain a disciplined, organized, and safe work environment, reporting any hazards or equipment issues immediately.
Requirements
- Male or female candidates, preferably up to 35 years of age.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience as a butcher in a retail, supermarket, or hospitality setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in meat cutting techniques, portion control, and proper storage methods.
- Strong knowledge of food‑safety standards, sanitation practices, and temperature monitoring.
- Excellent attention to detail, discipline, and a responsible work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy loads, and perform repetitive motions safely.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, with occasional overtime during peak periods.
