Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented General Cashier / Account Payable professional to join our finance team. This dual‑role position combines front‑line cashier responsibilities with back‑office accounts payable functions, ensuring smooth cash flow, accurate financial records, and excellent service for both internal stakeholders and external customers. The ideal candidate will bring at least one year of relevant experience, a solid educational foundation (minimum D3/D4), and a proactive attitude toward innovation and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily cash transactions, including sales receipts, refunds, and bank deposits, while maintaining strict adherence to company cash handling policies.
- Process vendor invoices, validate supporting documents, and schedule timely payments to maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Reconcile cash registers and bank statements at the end of each shift, investigating and resolving any discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly cash flow reports, providing insights to senior management for informed decision‑making.
- Coordinate with the procurement and inventory teams to verify receipt of goods and ensure accurate cost allocation.
- Assist in the preparation of month‑end close activities, including journal entries related to cash and payable accounts.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by answering inquiries, handling complaints, and offering solutions in a courteous manner.
- Train and mentor junior cashiers on proper cash handling techniques, promoting a culture of accuracy and accountability.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, suggest automation tools, and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial data and comply with all regulatory and internal audit requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3 or D4 in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar cashier or accounts payable role.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to guide a small team and foster collaboration.
- Innovative mindset – comfortable suggesting and adopting new tools or processes.
- Excellent attention to detail, especially when handling cash and reconciling accounts.
- Effective communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with cash register systems, accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite, or similar), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Team‑spirit and service‑oriented attitude, capable of building positive relationships with customers, vendors, and internal departments.
