Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of espresso‑based drinks, pour‑overs, cold brews, and specialty beverages with consistent quality and precise latte‑art presentation.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other coffee‑making equipment, performing routine cleaning and minor troubleshooting.
- Manage inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, pastries, and other consumables; conduct daily stock counts and communicate replenishment needs to the manager.
- Handle cash transactions, operate the point‑of‑sale system, and ensure accurate record‑keeping for daily sales.
- Deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient customer service, addressing inquiries about coffee origins, brewing methods, and menu items.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming workstation, adhering to health‑and‑safety standards and local food‑service regulations.
- Assist in training new team members on drink preparation, equipment usage, and customer‑service protocols.
- Participate in weekly product tastings and barista workshops to stay current on industry trends and new brewing techniques.
- Adapt to flexible scheduling, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2–3 years proven experience as a barista in a high‑traffic café or coffee‑shop environment.
- Strong knowledge of espresso extraction, coffee brewing methods (e.g., Aeropress, Chemex, siphon), and latte‑art techniques.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for every guest.
- Strong attention to detail, passion for coffee quality, and commitment to upholding brand standards.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic experience with inventory control and cash handling is preferred.
- Professional appearance: well‑groomed, clean, and presentable at all times.
- Residency in Lenteng Agung or surrounding neighborhoods is highly preferred.
- Educational requirement: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
