Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Community Officer to join our outreach team in Simalungun, Sumatera Utara. This role is designed for a motivated individual who is passionate about empowering women in low‑income communities through financial literacy, entrepreneurship support, and personal mentorship. As a key liaison between our organization and the local community, you will play a pivotal part in fostering economic inclusion and improving the quality of life for underserved families.

Responsibilities
- Conduct regular field visits to assigned villages and neighborhoods, establishing trustful relationships with women entrepreneurs and their families.
- Provide hands‑on business coaching, including basic bookkeeping, cash‑flow management, and strategies for sustainable growth.
- Deliver tailored financial literacy workshops that cover budgeting, disciplined savings, and responsible credit usage.
- Facilitate group‑based micro‑financing arrangements, ensuring that loan disbursements are made without collateral while monitoring repayment schedules.
- Listen attentively to client needs, assess challenges, and propose practical solutions that align with both client goals and organizational policies.
- Collect and submit accurate field reports, client progress data, and feedback to the regional office for continuous program improvement.
- Coordinate community events, networking sessions, and peer‑learning groups to strengthen social capital among participants.
- Act as a role model for professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and ethical conduct in all interactions.
Requirements
- Female candidates only; age between 18 and 33 years.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; diplomas (D3) and bachelor’s degrees (S1) are also accepted.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine enthusiasm for meeting new people and building community networks.
- Demonstrated adaptability, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for reporting and data management.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned region and spend time in field locations.
