Responsibilities
- Greet customers with a friendly smile and provide prompt, courteous service at the checkout counter.
- Accurately scan items, handle cash, credit, and electronic payments while maintaining strict adherence to company cash‑handling policies.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding product pricing, ongoing promotions, and the store’s loyalty program, directing them to additional resources when needed.
- Collaborate with fellow store associates to ensure shelves are stocked, aisles are tidy, and promotional displays are correctly set up.
- Perform basic math calculations quickly and double‑check transactions to prevent errors and ensure customer trust.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including regular checks of equipment such as scanners, receipt printers, and cash drawers.
- Participate in daily briefings, share feedback on customer trends, and suggest improvements to enhance the overall shopping experience.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and security protocols, reporting any irregularities or suspicious activity to the store manager.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age: 18 – 26 years (maximum 26 years at the time of application).
- Open to all genders.
- No prior work experience required; a strong interest in retail is essential.
- Neat personal appearance and a professional demeanor.
- Basic mathematical ability and a keen eye for detail.
