Introduction
PT. Baron Textile Manufacturing is expanding its production floor at the renowned Pabrik 4 Baron facility and is seeking a diligent Operator Mesin Jahit (Sewing Machine Operator). This role is pivotal in ensuring that garment components are stitched accurately, on schedule, and to the high‑quality standards expected by our international clients. The position offers a stable Monday‑Saturday workweek, with daily hours from 08:00 to 17:00, and welcomes applicants of all genders, including individuals with disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Set up, thread, and adjust industrial sewing machines for various fabric types, including cotton, polyester, and blended blends.
- Interpret technical drawings, work orders, and stitching specifications to produce garment pieces that meet exact measurements and quality criteria.
- Monitor machine performance continuously, performing minor adjustments and routine maintenance to prevent downtime.
- Inspect finished seams for consistency, strength, and visual appearance, reporting any defects to the quality control team.
- Collaborate with pattern makers, fabric cutters, and fellow operators to streamline workflow and meet production targets.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to safety protocols such as proper handling of needles and electrical equipment.
- Document production data, including units completed, material usage, and any machine malfunctions, using the factory’s ERP system.
- Participate in regular training sessions on new sewing technologies, ergonomic practices, and sustainability initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age: No upper limit; the role is open to candidates of any age who meet the skill criteria.
- Prior experience operating industrial sewing machines is preferred, but motivated newcomers with a strong learning attitude are also encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under tight production schedules while maintaining high quality.
- Strong discipline, quick reflexes, and a sense of responsibility for both personal safety and product integrity.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with supervisors and teammates.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle repetitive motions safely.
