Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Steward Pelayanan Penumpang to join our dynamic team in delivering exceptional passenger experience across all touch‑points of our transportation services. This role is pivotal in ensuring safety, comfort, and hospitality for every traveler, whether on short domestic routes or longer inter‑city journeys. The ideal candidate will embody a service‑driven mindset, possess strong interpersonal skills, and be ready to work flexible shifts, including weekends.
Responsibilities
- Greet passengers warmly upon arrival, verify ticket information, and provide clear directions to seating or boarding areas.
- Assist passengers with luggage handling, ensuring safe storage and timely delivery to the appropriate compartments.
- Conduct safety briefings, demonstrate emergency equipment usage, and monitor compliance with safety regulations throughout the journey.
- Respond promptly to passenger inquiries, resolve minor complaints, and coordinate with the operations team for any special assistance required.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the cabin, rest areas, and service counters, adhering to health and hygiene standards.
- Perform routine checks of onboard amenities, restocking supplies such as blankets, magazines, and refreshments.
- Collaborate with drivers, conductors, and ground staff to ensure smooth boarding, alighting, and turnaround processes.
- Document any incidents, passenger feedback, or equipment malfunctions in the daily report for management review.
- Participate in regular training sessions on customer service excellence, first aid, and crisis management.
- Uphold company values by demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a courteous demeanor at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 (Associate degree) or SMA (high school) equivalent.
- Gender: Female (per company policy) and open to both male and female applicants in accordance with local labor regulations.
- Age: Up to 30 years old, reflecting the physical demands of the role.
- Religion: Christian (as required by the client’s service profile).
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including Saturdays, with flexible start times between 08:00‑17:00.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; proficiency in English is a plus.
- Demonstrated customer‑service orientation, patience, and a friendly disposition.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety standards; prior experience in hospitality or transportation is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and assist with moderate luggage handling.
