Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of housekeeping duties, including but not limited to:
- Cleaning and sanitizing guest rooms, bathrooms, and suites according to the hotel’s five‑star cleanliness standards.
- Maintaining public areas such as lobbies, corridors, elevators, and banquet halls, ensuring they are always presentable.
- Inspecting rooms after cleaning to verify that all amenities, linens, and supplies meet quality expectations.
- Reporting maintenance issues, damaged furnishings, or inventory shortages to the supervisor promptly.
- Managing the stock of housekeeping supplies, linens, and guest amenities, and coordinating with the stores department for replenishment.
- Adhering to health, safety, and environmental regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and waste disposal.
- Collaborating with other hotel departments—front desk, engineering, and food & beverage—to ensure seamless guest service.
- Participating in daily shift briefings, following the assigned schedule, and working flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Providing exceptional customer service by responding courteously to guest requests and special needs.
Requirements
Our ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications and attributes:
- Educational background: Minimum SMA/SMK or a diploma (D3/D4) in hospitality, tourism, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of proven experience in housekeeping at a hotel or villa, preferably within a luxury or upscale setting.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning standards, room turnover procedures, and the proper use of housekeeping equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail, discipline, and the ability to work efficiently under time‑pressured conditions.
- Team‑player attitude with effective communication skills; able to coordinate with colleagues and supervisors.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that involve bending, lifting, and prolonged standing.
