To support our expanding portfolio of private tutoring programs, we are seeking a motivated and proficient Professional Private Mandarin Teacher on a part‑time basis. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills in both spoken and written Mandarin, a solid academic background, and a passion for fostering language acquisition in a supportive, learner‑centered environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver customized one‑on‑one Mandarin lessons that align with each student’s learning goals, proficiency level, and personal interests.
- Prepare engaging teaching materials, including worksheets, flashcards, audio‑visual aids, and online resources, to reinforce vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and cultural nuances.
- Conduct regular diagnostic assessments and provide constructive feedback to help students track progress and address areas for improvement.
- Utilize interactive teaching methodologies such as role‑playing, storytelling, and digital platforms to maintain high levels of student motivation and participation.
- Maintain accurate attendance records, lesson plans, and performance reports in accordance with the institute’s administrative standards.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians, offering updates on student performance and recommending supplementary study strategies.
- Participate in periodic staff meetings, professional development workshops, and curriculum review sessions to ensure consistency and quality across all language programs.
- Adapt teaching style to both online (Zoom, Google Meet) and offline classroom settings, ensuring a seamless learning experience regardless of delivery mode.
- Stay current with developments in Mandarin language education, including emerging digital tools, pedagogical trends, and cultural insights.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Mandarin Language, Chinese Studies, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese with the ability to speak, read, and write at an advanced level.
- Preferably female candidates, in line with the institute’s current demographic focus.
- Prior experience in private or classroom Mandarin instruction is highly desirable, though recent graduates with strong language competence are also encouraged to apply.
- Experience living, studying, or working in a Mandarin‑speaking country is considered a strong advantage.
- Ability to teach both online and offline; candidates based in or willing to travel to Jember, East Java, will be given priority.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage time effectively across a Monday‑Saturday work schedule (08:00‑17:00).
