Introduction
Meat N Fresh, a leading retailer in the Pasiran area of Singkawang, is seeking a dedicated and energetic Cashier to join our vibrant team. This position is crucial to delivering a seamless shopping experience for our customers, handling transactions efficiently, and maintaining the visual appeal of our store. As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for shoppers, representing our brand’s commitment to quality service, product knowledge, and a clean, welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide courteous and prompt service to customers during the checkout process, ensuring accurate billing and receipt generation.
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payment transactions while adhering to company policies and fraud‑prevention guidelines.
- Record and reconcile all daily sales, preparing end‑of‑day cash reports and submitting them to the store manager.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, offering information about meat cuts, freshness, and promotional offers.
- Maintain a tidy checkout area, regularly cleaning the counter, scanner, and surrounding space to meet hygiene standards.
- Arrange and restock product displays, ensuring that promotional items are prominently featured and visually attractive.
- Receive, inspect, and log incoming inventory, verifying quantities and condition before shelving.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to execute store‑wide initiatives, such as seasonal sales events and inventory counts.
- Follow safety protocols for handling perishable goods and operating point‑of‑sale equipment.
- Commit to a flexible schedule, working Monday through Saturday from 08:00 to 18:00, with occasional overtime during peak periods.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Age: Up to 30 years old.
- Gender: Male (as specified by the employer).
- Experience: No prior experience required; on‑the‑job training will be provided.
- Core Skills: Strong communication abilities, basic sales techniques, and a customer‑service oriented attitude.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and basic arithmetic.
- Personal Attributes: Reliability, attention to detail, ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining store cleanliness.
- Location: Must be willing to work at the Pasiran, Singkawang branch.
