Introduction
We are seeking a highly skilled Professional Mandarin Translator to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in bridging communication gaps between our Indonesian headquarters and Mandarin‑speaking partners, vendors, and clients across Asia. The ideal candidate will possess native‑level fluency in Mandarin and English, a solid grasp of Indonesian, and the cultural sensitivity needed to ensure that all translations are not only accurate but also contextually appropriate.
The position offers a full‑time schedule from Monday to Saturday, 08:00‑17:00, with immediate start dates for qualified applicants. You will work closely with senior management, local teams, and external stakeholders, providing both written and real‑time oral translation support.
Responsibilities
- Translate a wide range of documents—including contracts, technical manuals, marketing materials, and internal communications—from Indonesian to Mandarin and vice‑versa, ensuring linguistic precision and cultural relevance.
- Provide real‑time interpretation during meetings, conference calls, site visits, and negotiation sessions, facilitating clear understanding among all parties.
- Act as the linguistic liaison between the Director’s office, local staff, and international vendors, maintaining smooth information flow.
- Manage the Director’s calendar, schedule appointments, coordinate travel itineraries, and prepare briefing notes in both languages.
- Proofread and edit translated content for consistency, tone, and compliance with company style guides.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, translation memory tools, and other administrative software to streamline workflow.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive business information and adhere to professional ethical standards.
- Continuously update personal knowledge of industry terminology, emerging linguistic trends, and regulatory changes affecting cross‑border communication.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; a university degree is a plus.
- At least 2 years of professional translation or interpretation experience, preferably in a corporate or international trade setting.
- Certification of HSK Level 5 or higher (strongly preferred).
- Fluent in Mandarin and English—both spoken and written—with the ability to produce polished Indonesian translations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; adept at mediating cultural differences.
- Strong interpersonal abilities, professional demeanor, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Valid Indonesian driving license (SIM A) and ability to travel for on‑site assignments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with translation software or CAT tools.
