Introduction
Flosa, a fast‑growing boutique flower retailer, is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as part‑time Florists. This role is ideal for students, recent graduates, or anyone who loves working with fresh flowers and enjoys a dynamic retail environment. You will be based at one of our convenient store locations and will play a key part in creating memorable floral experiences for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Design and assemble daily bouquets, centerpieces, and custom floral arrangements according to customer specifications and seasonal trends.
- Maintain a clean, organized work station, ensuring all tools, vases, and supplies are properly stored and sanitized.
- Manage inventory levels of fresh cut flowers, foliage, and ancillary products, and communicate restocking needs to the store manager.
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service, offering advice on flower selection, care instructions, and gift‑wrapping options.
- Process point‑of‑sale transactions quickly and accurately, handling cash, card, and digital payments.
- Assist with store opening and closing duties, including setting up displays, cleaning, and securing the premises.
- Coordinate timely delivery of orders using personal motorbike, ensuring flowers arrive in pristine condition.
- Support promotional events, seasonal sales, and special occasions such as weddings, birthdays, and corporate functions.
- Continuously update personal knowledge of floral design trends, new product lines, and best practices in flower care.
Requirements
- Male or female, minimum age of 18 years.
- Possess a personal motorbike for local deliveries.
- Residency within a short commute to the Flosa store location.
- Open to students – flexible scheduling to accommodate academic commitments.
- Prior experience as an online driver is a strong plus, demonstrating reliability and navigation skills.
- All education levels are accepted; a passion for flowers and customer service matters most.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Basic understanding of store management systems or willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 15 kg of floral stock safely.
