Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and plate hot menu items using wok stations, ensuring flavor, presentation, and food safety standards are met.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization at the cooking line, adhering to HACCP and local health regulations.
- Coordinate with the sous‑chef and front‑of‑house staff to manage order flow during peak periods, minimizing wait times.
- Monitor inventory of fresh produce, sauces, and dry goods, and communicate restocking needs to the kitchen manager.
- Execute daily prep tasks such as chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and preparing sauces to keep the line running smoothly.
- Participate in shift hand‑overs, providing clear notes on equipment status, stock levels, and any outstanding issues.
- Adhere strictly to shift schedules, working rotating shifts from 05:30 AM to 09:00 PM, seven days a week, to support continuous service.
- Demonstrate honesty and discipline by accurately logging production times and reporting any discrepancies.
- Foster a collaborative environment by assisting teammates, sharing knowledge of cooking techniques, and stepping in where needed.
- Continuously seek ways to improve cooking efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance the overall guest experience.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 (Associate or Bachelor degree) in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of proven experience working in a commercial kitchen, preferably with a focus on wok cooking.
- Strong command of high‑heat cooking methods, including stir‑frying, searing, and rapid sauté techniques.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment while maintaining consistent quality.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: honesty, discipline, and a team‑oriented mindset are mandatory.
- Flexibility to work full‑time shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
