Introduction
We are seeking a diligent and proactive Inventory Control Officer for our Hub in Kelapa Dua, Kabupaten Tangerang. This pivotal role ensures that our warehouse operations run smoothly, maintaining the accuracy of stock records, compliance with temperature‑controlled storage standards, and adherence to FIFO/FEFO inventory principles. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our logistics team, supporting the seamless flow of goods throughout the Jabodetabek region.
Responsibilities
- Verify the consistency between delivery notes (surat jalan) and the physical goods received, ensuring that quantities, product codes, and condition match documentation.
- Conduct regular temperature checks on freezers and chillers, recording readings twice per shift and promptly reporting any deviations from the specified range.
- Cross‑check Sales Orders (SO) with inbound items during the receiving process to prevent discrepancies and reduce stock‑out risks.
- Document instances of over‑receipts, shortfalls, or bad stock, providing detailed reports for investigation and corrective action.
- Enter received quantities into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and flag items that fail inspection or cannot be accepted.
- Organize inventory using FIFO (First In First Out) and FEFO (First Expired First Out) methodologies, guaranteeing that perishable products are dispatched in the correct order.
- Measure and log temperature data at least twice per shift, completing the designated forms and escalating abnormal readings to the supervisor.
- Prepare documentation for disposal activities, including the destruction of bad stock, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Support shift handovers by providing clear status updates on inventory levels, pending issues, and any corrective measures taken.
- Collaborate with procurement, quality control, and transportation teams to streamline inbound and outbound processes.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, reduce waste, and enhance overall warehouse efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Male candidates aged 35 years or younger.
- At least 1 year of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a related logistics role.
- Willingness to work in the Jabodetabek area and adapt to a shift‑based schedule.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- High attention to detail, ability to follow instructions meticulously, and proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data entry and reporting.
- Physical agility and stamina to handle inventory checks, temperature monitoring, and occasional lifting of moderate‑weight items.
- Self‑motivated, responsible, and capable of working independently while maintaining a collaborative team spirit.
- Basic understanding of food safety standards and temperature‑controlled storage practices is a plus.
