Introduction
We are seeking a diligent and detail‑oriented Quality Control Specialist for Frozen Products to join our dynamic warehouse team at the Pegangsaan hub. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that all fresh, frozen, and perishable items meet the highest quality and safety standards before they are stored, shipped, or distributed to our customers. The successful candidate will work closely with hub staff, inventory managers, and logistics coordinators to maintain product integrity and support seamless inbound and outbound operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough quality inspections of fresh, frozen, and related products during inbound receipt and while they reside in the hub.
- Measure and record storage temperatures in chillers, freezers, and ambient rooms using calibrated thermometers, following established SOPs.
- Identify and label any “bad stock” or compromised items, and promptly coordinate with hub staff to update stock status and arrange proper disposition.
- Verify correct product placement, ensuring that items are stored in optimal locations to preserve freshness and comply with FIFO (first‑in, first‑out) principles.
- Document inspection results, temperature logs, and corrective actions in the warehouse management system.
- Prepare and submit daily quality reports to supervisory personnel, highlighting any deviations or trends.
- Support inbound and outbound processing of fresh products, including checking quantities against shipping manifests.
- Assist in periodic stock‑taking (stock opname) activities, reconciling physical counts with inventory records.
- Utilize basic computer skills to input data, generate reports, and communicate findings effectively.
- Participate in shift rotations (morning, afternoon, night) and work six days per week, including holidays, with one designated day off.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Male candidates only; maximum age of 35 years.
- At least 1 year of experience in retail, warehousing, or handling of fresh/frozen products such as vegetables, fruits, meat, dairy, or frozen goods.
- Strong knowledge of product handling, temperature control, and food safety regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail, quick decision‑making ability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Proactive, hard‑working, and capable of operating independently as well as within a team.
- Basic computer literacy; familiarity with inventory software, Excel, and data entry is preferred.
- Active SKCK (Police Clearance Certificate) and at least one dose of COVID‑19 vaccination.
- Physical ability to perform inspections, lift moderate loads, and stand for extended periods.
