Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Motorcycle Technician to join our service team in the Jabodetabek area. This entry‑level position is ideal for recent graduates of SMK with a focus on Teknik Sepeda Motor (TSM) who are eager to apply their technical knowledge in a fast‑paced, customer‑oriented environment. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced mechanics, gaining hands‑on experience while contributing to the high‑quality service standards our customers expect.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and diagnostic checks on two‑wheel vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and fuel‑system issues using both manual techniques and computerized scanning tools.
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble engine components, brakes, suspension, and transmission parts.
- Conduct oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and wheel alignments according to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders in the shop management system.
- Communicate findings and recommended repairs clearly to customers and senior technicians.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
- Participate in ongoing training programs to stay current with the latest motorcycle technologies and service procedures.
- Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels of parts and notifying the procurement team of shortages.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, offering maintenance advice, and ensuring timely job completion.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; graduation from an SMK program in Teknik Sepeda Motor (TSM) is preferred.
- Male candidates only, in accordance with the current operational policy.
- No prior work experience required; fresh graduates with a strong passion for motorcycle mechanics are welcome.
- Demonstrated knowledge of automotive and motorcycle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.
- Good visual acuity and ability to differentiate colors, essential for accurate inspection of wiring and fluid levels.
- Physically fit, able to lift heavy parts, stand for extended periods, and work in varied shop conditions.
- Drug‑free status, verified through pre‑employment screening.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset for working with team members and customers.
- Willingness to work Monday through Saturday, from 08:30 to 16:30, at our Jabodetabek service center.
