Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Professional Laundry Electrical Technician to join our dynamic hotel operations team. This role is critical for ensuring that all electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems within the laundry department operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with local regulations. The successful candidate will work closely with housekeeping, maintenance, and hotel management to guarantee that laundry equipment remains reliable, minimizing downtime and supporting the high‑quality service standards expected by our guests.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on laundry machinery, including washers, dryers, ironers, and associated electrical panels.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, using multimeters, clamp meters, and other diagnostic tools to resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure that all electrical, mechanical, and plumbing installations comply with hotel safety standards, national electrical codes, and local building regulations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service reports, and equipment histories in the hotel’s computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Collaborate with the broader engineering team to coordinate shutdowns, system upgrades, and energy‑saving initiatives.
- Implement and enforce health‑and‑safety protocols, including lock‑out/tag‑out procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and proper waste disposal of hazardous materials.
- Conduct regular testing of emergency power supplies, backup generators, and UPS units that support laundry operations.
- Provide technical guidance and on‑the‑job training to junior technicians and laundry staff on safe equipment handling.
- Participate in after‑action reviews following any equipment failure to identify root causes and develop preventive strategies.
- Support sustainability goals by recommending energy‑efficient upgrades and monitoring power consumption trends.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent technical diploma.
- Age limit: 28 years or younger.
- Gender: Male (as per local labor regulations for this specific role).
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience maintaining electrical systems in a hotel, laundry, or industrial setting.
- Proven ability to analyse electrical disturbances and quickly isolate faults.
- Strong proficiency with voltage measuring instruments, insulation testers, and wiring schematics.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and a methodical approach to documentation.
- Good communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; ability to convey technical information to non‑technical staff.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, including knowledge of lock‑out/tag‑out, electrical safety standards, and emergency response procedures.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, with occasional overtime during peak laundry periods.
