Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Drafter – Mechanical Design (Plumbing & Lift) to join our dynamic engineering team. This full‑time position is ideal for candidates who are proficient with AutoCAD, have a solid understanding of plumbing systems and lift mechanisms, and thrive in a collaborative environment. The successful applicant will support the design and documentation of mechanical systems for a variety of commercial and industrial projects, starting in early April 2026.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2‑D and 3‑D AutoCAD drawings for plumbing, pipe routing, and elevator shaft layouts, ensuring compliance with local codes and project specifications.
- Develop and maintain design standards, libraries, and templates for mechanical components to streamline future drafting work.
- Collaborate closely with senior mechanical engineers, project managers, and on‑site contractors to translate conceptual designs into accurate production drawings.
- Perform basic hydraulic calculations and mechanical analyses to verify that proposed pipe sizes and lift specifications meet performance criteria.
- Conduct design reviews, incorporate feedback, and issue revised drawings in a timely manner.
- Prepare material take‑offs, bill of quantities, and coordination sheets for procurement and construction teams.
- Assist in site inspections and provide on‑the‑spot drawing revisions when required.
- Maintain organized project documentation, version control, and ensure all drawings are stored in the company’s PLM system.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting workflow enhancements and adopting new drafting technologies.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical design is a plus.
- Experience: At least 3 years of hands‑on drafting experience, preferably within the plumbing or elevator industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (2‑D and 3‑D) with a focus on plumbing and lift schematics.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Revit MEP, SolidWorks, or similar is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of mechanical analysis, hydraulic calculations, and building codes.
- Personal Attributes:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce error‑free drawings.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills; capable of working with diverse stakeholders.
- Self‑motivated, able to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Adaptable to changing project requirements and open to continuous learning.
- Age: 25–35 years (no strict upper limit).
