Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team, delivering high‑quality meals that delight our guests. This role focuses on preparing both Chinese and Indonesian cuisine, ensuring authenticity, flavor, and consistency. The successful candidate will work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment, collaborating with fellow chefs and service staff to uphold our reputation for exceptional food service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of Chinese and Indonesian dishes according to standardized recipes and portion controls.
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards, performing regular sanitation of workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist in ordering supplies, and ensure proper rotation of perishable items to minimize waste.
- Collaborate with the head chef to develop new menu items, adapt recipes for special dietary needs, and incorporate seasonal ingredients.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, sharing best practices in knife skills, cooking techniques, and plating presentation.
- Communicate effectively with front‑of‑house personnel to coordinate order timing and address special requests.
- Adhere to scheduled work hours, Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, and demonstrate reliability in attendance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, promptly reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.
- Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu feedback, operational improvements, and quality assurance.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of professional cooking experience, preferably in Chinese or Indonesian cuisine.
- Proven ability to master cooking techniques and recipes, demonstrating consistency and attention to detail.
- Honest, proactive, and quick‑thinking (cekatan) with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact smoothly with team members and management.
