Introduction

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Kitchen Assistant – Food Preparation and Cleanliness Support to join our dynamic culinary team. This entry‑level position is ideal for individuals who are eager to start a career in the food‑service industry, offering hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced kitchen environment. The role focuses on maintaining impeccable hygiene standards, assisting with basic food preparation, and ensuring that all kitchen equipment is operated safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Assist chefs and line cooks with the preparation of ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning vegetables, fruits, and proteins.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station by regularly sanitizing countertops, cutting boards, and kitchen utensils.
  • Operate and clean kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers, ovens, and fryers according to safety guidelines.
  • Support the dishwashing team by sorting, loading, and unloading dishwashing machines, and performing manual cleaning when necessary.
  • Monitor stock levels of basic pantry items, report low inventory, and assist in receiving and storing deliveries.
  • Follow food safety regulations (HACCP, local health codes) to prevent cross‑contamination and ensure all food is stored at proper temperatures.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during peak hours.
  • Participate in daily pre‑service and post‑service cleaning checklists, documenting any issues for the kitchen manager.
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down work stations for special events, banquets, or catering orders.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve kitchen efficiency, suggesting practical solutions to reduce waste and enhance productivity.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
  • Female candidates only; age not to exceed 30 years.
  • Honest, disciplined, and enthusiastic attitude with a positive “can‑do” mindset.
  • Ability to work well within a team, follow instructions, and communicate clearly.
  • Presentable appearance and professional grooming standards.
  • Basic proficiency in operating common kitchen equipment and tools.
  • Willingness to work the full schedule: Monday – Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
  • No prior experience required; on‑the‑job training will be provided.
  • Strong commitment to food safety and cleanliness standards.
