Introduction

We are seeking a diligent Checker Gudang – Pemeriksaan Barang dan Persediaan to join our fast‑growing logistics team in Surabaya. This pivotal role ensures the accuracy, safety, and timeliness of all inbound and outbound inventory movements, supporting our commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will work closely with warehouse supervisors, procurement specialists, and the finance department to maintain optimal stock levels and uphold strict quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections at every stage of goods receipt and dispatch, verifying quantities, documentation, and product condition.
  • Perform regular (weekly and monthly) stock audits to reconcile physical inventory with system records, identifying discrepancies promptly.
  • Ensure that all items are stored according to FIFO (First‑In‑First‑Out) methodology and that hazardous or perishable goods receive proper handling.
  • Document and report inventory data, including stock levels, variances, and damage reports, using Microsoft Excel and the company’s ERP system.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to resolve issues such as misplaced items, damaged goods, or labeling errors.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to safety protocols and ensuring that aisles, pallets, and storage racks are in good condition.
  • Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory control and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Support periodic physical counts and coordinate with auditors during internal and external reviews.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders to confirm delivery schedules and resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide training or guidance to new warehouse personnel on inventory verification processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or logistics.
  • Strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail; ability to spot errors quickly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data validation).
  • Practical knowledge of inventory control methods such as FIFO, cycle counting, and stock reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage warehouse documentation and maintain accurate records.
  • Female candidates only, as specified by the client’s operational requirements.
  • Willingness to be based in Surabaya and commute or relocate as needed.
  • Physical stamina to conduct inspections, lift moderate loads, and stand for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
