Responsibilities
- Assist senior kitchen staff in the preparation and cooking of hot dishes, ensuring each plate meets Accor’s quality and presentation standards.
- Follow standardized recipes, portion controls, and food safety protocols (HACCP) to maintain consistency and hygiene.
- Prep vegetables, sauces, and garnishes; handle basic butchery tasks and stock inventory as directed.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and steamers safely and efficiently.
- Support the line cook during peak service periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders to the service area.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including regular sanitation of surfaces, tools, and equipment.
- Participate in daily briefings, receiving feedback and contributing ideas for menu improvements.
- Collaborate with front‑of‑house staff to understand guest preferences and special dietary requirements.
- Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating stock to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
- Continuously develop culinary techniques through on‑the‑job training and Accor’s learning programs.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in a hot kitchen or similar food‑service environment.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team.
- Strong commitment to delivering exceptional guest service and maintaining high standards of food quality.
- Comfortable thriving in a high‑tempo, pressure‑driven setting.
- Passion for culinary arts, with a desire to grow within the hospitality industry.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution‑focused attitude.
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen safety.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, with occasional overtime during peak periods.
