Introduction
The Community Officer position is based in Bangkalan, Jawa Timur, and focuses on empowering low‑income women through financial literacy, micro‑enterprise support, and community outreach. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic, socially‑engaged professional who enjoys building relationships, traveling within the assigned region, and making a tangible difference in the lives of underserved families. The successful candidate will work Monday through Friday, from 08:00 to 17:00, and will report to the regional branch manager.
Responsibilities
- Visit assigned villages and urban neighborhoods to establish trust‑based relationships with women entrepreneurs and their families.
- Conduct one‑on‑one and group workshops on basic budgeting, savings discipline, and responsible borrowing.
- Provide ongoing business mentorship, helping clients develop simple business plans, track cash flow, and improve product or service offerings.
- Facilitate group‑based micro‑financing without collateral, ensuring that loan disbursements and repayment cycles are clearly understood and followed.
- Monitor repayment schedules, assist clients in resolving payment challenges, and coordinate with the finance team to maintain portfolio health.
- Gather feedback from the community, identify emerging needs, and propose tailored solutions or new program initiatives to senior management.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, training attendance, and financial transactions using Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Represent the organization at local events, cooperatives, and women’s empowerment forums to promote brand awareness and recruit new participants.
- Collaborate with internal teams—such as credit, operations, and marketing—to ensure a seamless client experience.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports summarizing outreach activities, loan performance, and impact metrics for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Female candidates only, aged 18–33 years.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; D3 or S1 preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Passion for community development and experience (or strong interest) in micro‑finance or social entrepreneurship.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for data entry and reporting.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple client portfolios.
