Introduction

PT. Logistik Prima Indonesia is seeking a proactive Manajer Pengelolaan Vendor dan Hubungan Bisnis to join our dynamic team at the Tanjung Priok hub, North Jakarta. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless coordination between our organization, freight carriers, and external suppliers across multiple origins and destinations. The successful candidate will drive vendor selection, performance monitoring, and strategic partnership initiatives that support our growth in the maritime and trucking logistics sector.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors for a variety of truck and vessel routes, ensuring competitive pricing and service quality.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive vendor database, including contact details, contract terms, and performance metrics.
  • Conduct regular briefings and workshops with vendors to communicate company KPIs, compliance standards, and customer expectations.
  • Oversee the handover process of goods to vendors, guaranteeing that all documentation and procedural requirements are fulfilled.
  • Analyze vendor performance data such as lead times, POD returns, product damage rates, and cost efficiency; prepare actionable review reports for senior management.
  • Coordinate all administrative aspects of vendor agreements, including collection and verification of legal documents, insurance certificates, and licensing.
  • Collaborate closely with procurement, operations, and finance teams to align vendor activities with P&L targets and overall business strategy.
  • Support occasional out‑of‑city business trips to audit supplier facilities, negotiate contracts, and resolve operational issues on the ground.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by recommending process enhancements, technology adoption, and best‑practice standards in vendor management.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: D3/D4 (Associate) or S1 (Bachelor) degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in Vendor Management, Procurement, or Logistics operations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build trustful relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Solid understanding of Profit & Loss (P&L) concepts and cost‑control principles.
  • Experience creating and managing a vendor database, including contract lifecycle management.
  • Willingness to travel for business purposes, including inter‑city visits.
