Introduction
PT. Prima Motorindo is seeking a dedicated Mekanik Motor Profesional to join our workshop team and ensure the highest standards of vehicle maintenance for both private and commercial fleets. The role is based in Jakarta and offers a stable, full‑time schedule from Monday to Saturday, 08:00–17:00. As a key member of our technical department, you will work with a diverse range of motorcycles and small‑engine vehicles, applying your expertise to keep them running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, brake inspections, and tire rotations on all types of motorcycles.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools, service manuals, and hands‑on testing procedures.
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble engine components such as pistons, camshafts, and transmission parts, ensuring proper torque specifications.
- Conduct thorough quality checks after each service, documenting findings and confirming that all repairs meet manufacturer standards.
- Maintain an organized workshop environment, keeping tools, spare parts, and safety equipment properly stored and accounted for.
- Collaborate with the parts department to order, receive, and verify the authenticity of OEM and aftermarket components.
- Provide clear, courteous explanations to customers about required repairs, estimated costs, and recommended maintenance schedules.
- Participate in continuous training programs to stay updated on the latest motorcycle technologies, emission regulations, and safety protocols.
- Assist junior technicians by sharing best practices, supervising on‑the‑job learning, and fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
Requirements
- Male candidates only (as per company policy for this specific role).
- Minimum education: D3/D4 in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; SMK with a specialization in Motor/Automotive Technology is highly preferred.
- At least 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in motorcycle maintenance or a similar mechanical environment.
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins.
- Strong personal attributes: honesty, discipline, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy components, work on low‑lying parts, and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy for using workshop management software and documenting service records.
- Valid driver’s license for motorcycles and, preferably, a light commercial vehicle.
