Introduction
The position of Penanggung Jawab Laboratorium (Laboratory Supervisor) is a key role within our organization, responsible for overseeing daily laboratory operations and ensuring that all scientific activities are conducted safely, accurately, and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of laboratory staff, ensuring that tasks are completed on schedule and according to standard operating procedures.
- Manage the receipt, labeling, storage, and disposal of samples, chemicals, and reagents while maintaining strict compliance with safety regulations.
- Perform routine equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to guarantee optimal instrument performance.
- Prepare and verify analytical reports, maintain detailed laboratory notebooks, and ensure data integrity for all experiments.
- Implement and monitor laboratory safety protocols, conduct regular safety drills, and maintain up‑to‑date safety data sheets (SDS) for all hazardous materials.
- Coordinate with external vendors for the procurement of consumables, equipment, and services, ensuring cost‑effective purchasing.
- Train new laboratory personnel on proper techniques, equipment usage, and company policies, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Assist in the development of new testing methods, validation procedures, and quality control measures to improve laboratory efficiency.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, track usage trends, and forecast future material needs to prevent shortages.
- Support overtime and weekend shifts as required to meet project deadlines or urgent testing requests.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum of SMA/SMK (high school) or equivalent; technical certifications in laboratory practices are a plus.
