Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook (Ahli Memasak dan Pengelolaan Dapur) to join our dynamic kitchen team. This full‑time position is based in a fast‑paced culinary environment where quality, consistency, and teamwork are paramount. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of dishes, maintaining kitchen hygiene standards, and supporting the overall efficiency of the food service operation. Working hours are Monday to Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, offering a structured schedule with clear expectations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to established recipes, ensuring taste, presentation, and portion control meet company standards.
- Manage daily kitchen operations, including mise en place, stock rotation, and proper storage of ingredients to minimize waste.
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders for fresh produce, meats, and pantry items, and conduct regular stock checks.
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitation practices, adhering to local health regulations and internal HACCP procedures.
- Collaborate closely with the head chef and fellow kitchen staff to develop new menu concepts, seasonal specials, and promotional dishes.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen assistants, fostering a culture of continuous learning and teamwork.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, grills, fryers, and slicers, performing routine cleaning and basic maintenance.
- Handle high‑pressure situations during peak service periods while maintaining composure and quality output.
- Document daily production logs, report any equipment issues promptly, and suggest improvements for workflow efficiency.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Gender: Male candidates are preferred in accordance with client specifications.
- Experience: At least 1 year of professional cooking experience in a commercial kitchen or restaurant setting.
- Core Skills: Proficiency in a wide range of cooking techniques, strong knife handling, and familiarity with food plating standards.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, honesty, responsibility, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 kg, and work in a hot, fast‑moving environment.
- Work Ethic: Demonstrated capability to perform under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and adapt to changing menu demands.
